NFA Freedom Alliance Statement on “The Hearing Protection Act of 2015”
As the nation's strongest advocacy organization for National Firearms Act issues and related Second Amendment rights, the NFA Freedom Alliance supports all efforts to advance the rights of law-abiding people to own and use all items regulated by the National Firearms Act.

We believe that Rep. Matt Salmon's bill to remove suppressors from the regulatory reach of the National Firearms Act is a signal that Americans want to modernize this antiquated law and ensure that suppressors are readily available to all law-abiding people for self-defense, hearing protection, and sport.

With the outcome of countless Second Amendment liberty issues hinging on the result of the 2016 presidential election and the retention of pro-Second Amendment majorities in both the U.S. House and Senate, we at NFA Freedom Alliance remain focused on achieving the ultimate goal of complete NFA firearms freedoms.

This year, the NFA Freedom Alliance crafted and successfully lobbied to pass an unprecedented four bills in four states that helped millions of Americans own and use NFA regulated items.

We look forward to building on those successes in the upcoming legislative cycle.

Montana Hunting With Suppressors Bill!
MONTANA HUNTING WITH SUPPRESSORS BILL!At the request of the NFA Freedom Alliance, Montana State Senator Scott Sales (R) has filed a bill to make it legal to hunt with suppressors in Montana. In 2013 Governor Steve Bullock (D) vetoed HB205, a similar measure. In view of the recent election results, where Democrats lost to Republicans even in blue states, we are hopeful that this time around will be different. The NFAFA is also VERY close to securing a solid sponsor for “Shall Certify” legislation in Montana. Make sure you sign up for our free alerts on our homepage www.nfafa.org so we can keep you apprised of our progress! Also, the unfortunate reality is that getting this job done for NFA owners takes a lot of money and we can’t do it without your membership and contributions. OKLAHOMA HUNTING WITH SUPPRESSORS ON PUBLIC LAND BILL IN 2015
OKLAHOMA HUNTING WITH SUPPRESSORS ON PUBLIC LAND BILL IN 2015The NFAFA is very pleased to announce that at our request, Representative John Echols (R) of Oklahoma will be submitting a bill request for the 2015 legislative session to make hunting with suppressors legal on PUBLIC lands in Oklahoma. In 2012 NFAFA Executive Director Todd Rathner (at the time working under contract with another organization) worked alongside the NRA to pass a bill to allow hunting with suppressors in Oklahoma. This law was limited to private landowners and their guests. The current bill being requested by Mr. Echols will make hunting with suppressors on public lands legal as well.We were reminded of this issue by NFAFA friend Jeremy Mallette the other night, and were able to utilize our contacts in the Oklahoma Legislature to get this effort started. Thank you Jeremy! This is the NFAFA getting the job done for you!PLEASE SHARE THIS POST! Then...Please JOIN the NFAFA today to help us get this and other legislative initiatives accomplished!! http://www.nfafa.org/join.cfm
